Rohit, with a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications, a Master’s in Information Science, and currently pursuing Ph.D. in the same field, conducts research spanning marine environmental monitoring and social media disinformation spread monitoring. Leveraging deep learning methods, Rohit contributes significantly to understanding ocean life & tererstial life intricacies, while concurrently addressing the critical issue of misinformation in the digital space through machine learning. Driven by a foundational understanding developed during his undergraduate studies and industry exposure, he transitioned from marine life research to social media monitoring for his Ph.D., acknowledging the urgency of the latter in today’s context. Despite this shift, Rohit continues to enjoy and actively contribute to both marine and bird life monitoring, showcasing his commitment to multifaceted and impactful research that bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
